Paper White Christmas

Growing up, my sisters and I made it a tradition to watch "White Christmas" every year during the christmas season. We loved the dancing the songs and especially the song "Sister, Sister"! My inspiration for this shoot was the song "White Christmas". I loved the way the grass contrasted with the white paper snowflakes that also highlights the very un-white California Christmas :]

The Goose is Getting Fat

I can not believe it is November! Christmas will soon be here and I was asked to do Christmas family photos for a friend who loves to cook! Her two boys were so funny during the entire shoot telling jokes and were such good sports! I have never shot in this lighting so it was a completely new experience for me and I also tried Black and White... the peppermint shot is my absolute favorite! Enjoy :)

The Grass is Greener

As I said in my last post, Green, Greener, Greenest, I just could simply not help myself when I saw how the rain had brought about so much lovely green!! Last minute photo-shoots are always fun so much fun, Elizabeth agreed and I began piecing together her outfit, hair and off we went! The lighting seemed perfect and made for some beautiful pictures... or should I say lovely!

Oh my Goodness! The weather has been crazy bipolar! Its 100 degrees one week than 40 the next! But I have to admit, I absolutely LOVE the aftermath of the rain. Everything is so green, so lovely! This is the same spot where I shot Shoes, Balloons...and Cupcakes yet the rain completely changed the scenery! I could not help taking some pictures before the green disappears again! Pictures to come soooon :)

Scrabbled Picnics

For a class assignment i had to capture the different uses of color: decorative, utilitarian, and symbolic...i chose photography as my median and convinced my sister and her boyfriend to tag along as my models!

Shoes, Balloons, and... Cupcakes?

This family asked me to take their family pictures...I was flattered, and yet really nervous! It was the first time I had been asked to take the pictures... usually I'm the one asking to TAKE the pictures! I wanted to use props that i felt represented the family... The girls, i had photographed before (seen HERE) and the entire family was so lovely to work with! The pictures turned out so fun and playful....I'm very pleased with them!

Girlish Giggles

This is one of the sweetest girls you will most likely ever meet...we always manage to laugh until our stomach hurts... basically we have so much fun together and this was one of the most adventurous shoots I have ever done! I asked her if I could take take pictures as a "Senior Picture Re-do" I'm really exited with the results!
